About this tool
The rank, value and percentile come from the same precomputed rankings that power every ranking page: each country with a non-null observation for the indicator's most recent reporting year is included, ranked from highest to lowest. The percentile expresses how many ranked countries the selected country sits above. Always check the observation year, since reporting cycles differ by country and agency.

Make the number mean something
A rank is only useful next to the field, pair it with the full table and a peer comparison.
- Open the full ranking for any indicator to see every country above and below your result. Browse rankings
- Put two countries side-by-side to compare their ranks across dozens of indicators at once. Compare countries
- Read a country profile for the full context behind a single rank. Country profiles
Percentile is computed only over countries with data for that indicator and year, coverage varies, so a “top 10%” on a sparsely-reported measure covers fewer countries than on a near-universal one.
